Everything we do centers on these four pillars — bringing the La Porte community closer to the animals and people at the shelter.
We work to connect La Porte residents, animal lovers, and local supporters with the shelter. From awareness campaigns to community events, we help people build a real relationship with their local shelter and see firsthand how they can make a difference.
The shelter needs consistent resources to care for the animals in its charge. We raise funds to help cover essential needs like food, supplies, medicine, enrichment items, and other animal care resources — so the shelter can do more with more.
Volunteers are the lifeblood of any shelter community. We actively recruit, organize, and grow volunteer participation to ensure the shelter has hands-on support from people who care about the animals and the mission.
Many people simply don't know what their local animal shelter does — or how they can help. We work to educate the public about shelter operations, responsible pet ownership, adoption awareness, and how community support directly improves animal welfare.
