Building a Calendar of Community Support

Friends of La Porte Animal Shelter is in the process of organizing its first calendar of community events. Our planned activities include supply donation drives, community fundraisers, volunteer days, and public educational outreach — all centered on supporting the La Porte Animal Shelter and the animals in its care.

These events are for everyone in La Porte — whether you're a lifelong animal advocate, a first-time volunteer, or simply a neighbor who wants to give back. We'll have something meaningful for you to be part of.

Paint Your Pet

Support La Porte Animal Shelter

Time: 2:00 PM
Location: Painting with a Twist (3224 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX)
Price: $60 per person

Join us for a fun, beginner-friendly Paint Your Pet event benefiting the Friends of La Porte Animal Shelter. Whether you’ve painted before or not, this guided class will walk you step-by-step through creating a custom painting of your pet.

What to Expect

Open to the public — invite friends and family
Most proceeds go directly to support the La Porte Animal Shelter

Relaxed, social environment with guided instruction

Shelter Supply Drive

Help us stock the shelter! We are hosting a Shelter Supply Drive to gather much-needed items for the animals at the La Porte Animal Shelter. Whether you can donate one item or a whole box, every donation makes a real difference. All donations go directly to the La Porte Animal Shelter.

Join us for a delicious way to give back! Support the Friends of La Porte Animal Shelter by dining at Gringo's Tex-Mex in La Porte all day on June 23rd. Gringo's will generously donate 20% of sales back to the shelter.
